Who We Are
IPO Cracker (ipocracker.com) is an independent, India-focused IPO information platform for retail investors. We track every Mainboard and SME IPO from announcement to listing, and we measure what happened afterwards — how often the grey market premium called the listing correctly, and how allotment odds actually worked out for each category. It is free to use.
We are not registered with SEBI as an investment advisor, research analyst, or broker-dealer. Our platform is strictly informational. We do not provide investment advice, manage portfolios, or execute trades.
Our Mission
IPO information is scattered across exchange portals, registrar websites, offer documents and social media groups, and grey market numbers are rarely checked against what actually happened on listing day. Our aim is to put the data in one place, check it against outcomes, and say plainly where it is unreliable, so that investors can:
- Quickly find upcoming, open, and recently listed IPOs
- Track Grey Market Premium (GMP) trends over time
- Monitor live subscription data from BSE and NSE
- Check allotment status through official registrar portals
- See how accurate GMP has been in the past, separately for Mainboard and SME issues
- Learn the basics of IPO investing through our educational guides
What We Offer
Real-Time Data
Our platform automatically fetches data from official sources including BSE, NSE, and leading financial websites. IPO details, GMP values, and subscription numbers are updated multiple times a day to ensure you have the latest information.
Algorithmic Analysis
We use a deterministic rules-based scoring engine that evaluates each IPO across multiple parameters — including GMP trends, subscription patterns, financial health, and industry peer comparison — to produce a data-driven score for each IPO. These scores are a starting point for your own research, not a substitute for professional financial advice.
Educational Resources
Our Learn section covers everything from how to apply for an IPO to understanding GMP, the allotment process, and an A-Z glossary of IPO terms. Whether you're applying for your first IPO or your hundredth, our guides are designed to be clear and practical.
Allotment Status
You can check allotment status on our site with your PAN: we pass it to the official registrar for that IPO and show you the result. Our logs keep only a masked form of the PAN, and for some registrars we link you to their own portal instead. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is stored.
Our Values
- Transparency: We clearly disclose our data sources and limitations. Our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy explain exactly what we do and don't do.
- Privacy: We collect as little as we can — an email if you subscribe to alerts, and saved PANs only if you sign in and choose to save them. No bank or demat details.
- Accessibility: The platform is free, works without an account, and works on all devices.
- Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, all data is sourced from public sources and may have delays. Always verify with official sources before making investment decisions.
Data Sources
Our data comes from the following publicly available sources (see Data Sources for detail):
- BSE India (Bombay Stock Exchange) — live bidding and subscription data
- NSE India (National Stock Exchange) — subscription and listing data
- SEBI filings — DRHP and RHP documents
- Official registrar portals — allotment status (Link Intime, KFin, Bigshare, etc.)
- IPO grey market tracking sources — GMP estimates
