Small and medium enterprise IPOs have kept the primary market busy almost every single week this year. If you have been trying to put together a proper SME IPO 2026 list without jumping between five different broker apps, this page should make life a bit easier.
Below, you will find a month-wise breakdown of SME issues, what makes SME IPOs different from mainboard ones, and a few practical tips before you put in an application. We have also added an FAQ section at the end for quick answers to the questions most investors actually ask.
What Counts as an SME IPO
An SME IPO is a public issue by a small or medium enterprise that lists on the BSE SME platform or the NSE Emerge platform, rather than the main board. These companies are usually smaller in size, with post-issue paid-up capital that has to stay under ₹25 crore.
There are a few basic eligibility rules too. The company needs net tangible assets of at least ₹3 crore in each of the last three years, along with an average operating profit of ₹15 crore over the same period, and a minimum net worth of ₹1 crore.
Because of these smaller numbers, SME IPOs tend to have smaller issue sizes, smaller lot sizes, and often move much faster through the subscription window compared to mainboard companies.
